Who Qualifies for the Swing Bed Program?
You may qualify if you:
Have had a minimum 3-night hospital stay (at Lakeland or another facility).
Require skilled nursing or therapy care.
Are covered by Traditional Medicare.
Have physician acceptance.
Patients can be admitted within 30 days of qualifying stays. The average length of care is 1-2 weeks, with a maximum stay of 20 days.
